Transformers: More Than Meets the Eye

Strategy

Maximize TechSpec collection throughout play, shoot VUK to lock 2 balls for Transformer MB and prep 3rd lock. Shoot captive ball to start playfield 2X. Start a mode, Golden Lagoon stacks well with MB. Start Transformer MB. Rip spinner to complete mode and make final blow shot. You will earn Rusted for next mode and increase One Shall Fall value. Rip spinner to complete an Energon cube, increases One Shall Fall value as well. Prep next MB and begin a 2nd mode. This qualifies One Shall Fall on right ramp, begin with a stacked playfield X again. Capitalize on Dino modes to work toward Dino Destruction mini-wizard.

Skill Shot

Full plunge to the right flipper and then hit a red shot.

Short plunge to upper flipper then hit Optimus (red transformer on left) or make upper loop (5M + 8 second ball save time)

Super Skill: Short plunge to upper flipper and hit Constructor Start shot (8M + 10 second ball save time)

Ruleset

Modes: Three levels to each of five modes (Normal, Energized, Rusted). Modes last 60 seconds, countdown shown next to mode name on display. Can select mode with flippers.

  • Mode colors are randomized per game, completing a mode will award a shot X on the shot of that color once you collect 3 TechSpecs of that color (see below).

  • Knock down enough drop targets in front of Megatron (grey and purple transformer) to then shoot the now exposed Megatron scoop to start the flashing mode on lower PF inserts.

  • Shooting the center spinner will fill the Energon cube on the display (upper right), a completed cube can be used at the stat of the next mode to make it easier and decrease value.

  • Completing a mode without filling the Energon cube will cause the next mode to have cosmic rust which makes it harder to complete and scoring is increased.

  • Golden Lagoon: Shots to spinner build value, collect 25M to light final blow shot. Spinner value begins at 60K/spin

    • Energized: Shots to spinner build value, collect 10M to light final blow shot.

    • Rusted:

  • Autobot Run: Shoot five blue arrows to light a final blow shot, flashing blue shots are worth 3X.

    • Energized: Shoot five blue arrows or targets to light final blow shot

    • Rusted:

  • Microbots: Shoot any ramp (purple arrows) to light a drop target, missed targets unlight drop target, complete 3 drop targets to light final shot.

    • Energized: Shoot any shot to light drop targets, complete 3 drop targets to light final blow shot.

    • Rusted: Shoot any ramp to light drop targets for 6 seconds, missed targets unlight drop targets, complete 3 drop targets to light final shot.

  • Solar Needle: Hit 2 cyan targets to light captive ball. Additional cyan targets increase captive ball value, redstandup targets decrease value. Hit 3 lit captive balls to light final blow shot. Captive ball value starts at 3M

    • Energized: Shoot 1 cyan target to light captive ball. Additional cyan targets increase captive ball value, redstandup targets decrease value. Hit 3 lit captive balls to light final blow shot. Captive ball value starts at 3M

    • Rusted:

  • Prime Target: Shoot lit ramps, bash Optimus to increase value of shots.

    • Energized:

    • Rusted: Shoot lit ramp, each combo is +1X. Shoot Optimus to build value and relight ramps.

Transformer MB:

  • Bash Optimus to qualify lock at the VUK on his right (VUK will flash green)

    • alternatively shoot the VUK to qualify, doesn’t increase JP value

  • Bashing Optimus when lock is lit (flashing green) increases Jackpot value by 250K

  • Lock 3 balls to start MB

  • Shooting the same shot 3 times scores a jackpot on that shot

  • Super Jackpot lights once 2 jackpots are collected

Tech Specs: Hit stand-ups around the playfield to light the TechSpec inserts, then make that lit shot to collect TechSpec

  • Collect 3 TechSpecs of a color to qualify shot X when beating a mode of that color

  • Collect 3 TechSpecs of each color to start Tech Spec Mania MB mini-wizard mode (progress shown on middle left of display)

    • Collect tech specs of every color to light super JP

  • Collected Tech Specs carry over ball to ball for bonus

Combiner Mission: Every 2 TechSpec collects lights the constructor part collect at the lane to the left of Optimus (constructor progress shown in upper left of display)

  • Once all parts collected for a bot, shoot the Constructor Start shot just above the captive ball to begin MB mini-wizard mode

Dino Missions: Hit stand-up targets on either side of the Grimlock shot (just above the top left sling).

  • Shoot the Grimlock shot to feed the upper flipper.

  • There are 3 different modes to play (targets shown on the middle right of the display), untimed, last for the entire ball or until you complete it.

  • War:

  • S.O.S.: Shoot anything to activate objective.

  • Island MB: shoot lit arrows for add-a-ball, make switches until JP lit, collect at Grimlock shot.

  • Dinobot Destruction: Shoot switches to build value, shoot Megatron to enter 3X jackpot phase, drain to single ball to enter 1X jackpot phase

One Shall Fall mini-wizard: Play any two modes to qualify One Shall Fall at the right ramp. (3 ball MB)

  • When One Shall Fall is lit, it is harder to start a mission (requires extra shot to Megatron)

  • This mode changes which shots are lit based on which modes you have previously played. Collect a cube and save it and started a rusted mode to begin one shall fall with highest value.

  • Shoot purple shots, avoid red shots. Progress shown as purple and red bars on the sides of the display

  • Red shots unlight after two completions

  • When feature completes, flippers will die and you will be returned to single ball play

Playfield X: Shoot captive ball to earn letters in BUMBLEBEE, complete to start 30 seconds of 2X, complete again within 30 seconds to earn 3X

Hurry-ups: Complete Megatron drop target bank to light one of the inlanes for a hurry up a the opposite side. Left inlane → right orbit  or Right inlane → left ramp
