The most valuable shots are the orbits and saucers, concentrate on shooting orbits, this places the ball above the top lanes and can result in making a saucer for an additional 5K. While completing the red top lane and drop target with double bonus will score more, to do so you likely have to shoot up top anyway and the drops can be a risky shot.
Plunge to the top red lane, only way to collect this. Yellow and green are also decent, as other way to collect them is the outlanes.
Top Lanes & Drop Targets
Lanes score 500, collect lit lanes to light the left bonus column on the center playfield art/inserts
Drop targets score 1K times the number of collected lanes and light the right bonus column
Given their center position, shooting for drop targets can be draingerous

The star rollover in each orbit is worth 5K, dial in this shot and repeat it
The saucers both score 5K and making both awards double bonus
Bonus
Bonus is awarded by lanes and drop targets, you must collect both of the same color to qualify the bonus
