Outlane Flipper: There is a left outlane mini flipper that is qualified at the start of the game, indicated by the two lit lightning bolt inserts near the flipper. It is activated by the left outlane switch and the goal is to shoot the small Crowd Surf ramp to put the ball back into play. You relight this flipper by getting enough spins with the spinner in the captive ball lane.
This strategy is based on pre-release material, a more specific recommendation on a scoring path will be updated as we learn more about the machine.
Heavy bonus game. Complete song mode record levels to gain perks and light the captive ball for +1 Bonus X. Stack song mode perks based on which Encore mini-wizard path you will choose. Shoot orbit shots during song modes to qualify Steel Horse locks, lock 3 balls via orbit shots to start MB. Complete 2 songs, or on your 3rd ball, to have the next song mode be Living on a Prayer MB.
Song Modes
At start of game, pick a song to begin unique mode from the 4 songs in the Side A list (below the Living On A Prayer insert in the center of the playfield)
Complete enough of the mode objectives to light the gold record in the plunge lane, also lighting the left scoop where you choose Rock On or Move On
Rock On: Continues mode for chance to level up the record level, makes Encore easier
Move On: Provides a perk for beating the mode, makes Encore harder
Completing a song and cashing in will pick the next song from the Side B list (above the Living on a Prayer insert)
Complete 5 songs to get to 1 of 3 Encore mini-wizard modes: Raise Your Hands, Lay Your Hands On Me, or Let It Rock. Depending on which mini-wizard mode you want to play, different song perks will be better choices.
Side A
Runaway: Combo based mode where everything is lit
You Give Love A Bad Name: Switches increase the value of the Heart shot
It’s My Life: Shoot Heart to light a shot to hit
Have A Nice Day: Ramps bring up drop targets on orbits
Side B
Wanted Dead or Alive: multiball
Perk: Allows adding MB to other song modes
Bad Medicine: Avoid standup targets while making lit shots
Perk: As long as you avoid standup targets the other shots are worth more
Born to be My Baby: Alternating ramps mode
Keep the Faith: Shoot enough switches to keep Faith meter raised, shots to make are charged up, shots decay to white over time
Living on a Prayer: Multiball, after completing 2 songs or at the start of ball 3 this becomes available.
Steel Horse Multiball:
Complete orbit shots during a song mode to qualify a lock
Lock a ball by shooting either left or right orbit to a magnet that kicks the ball into the lock
Lock 3 balls to start MB
VIP Awards
The VIP area is obtained from the upper right flipper into the 3 standup targets with a magnet in the center. You accumulate VIP awards here, including Ballad mini-modes.
LOVE lanes
Spell LOVE via the bottom lanes, then shoot the pulsating Heart to start Love mini-mode
During mode, there is a counter to complete a certain number of ramps, spinners, orbits, and targets
Making the required number of shots on 4 features will start a frenzy mode
Bonus and Bonus X
Progress a mode to a record level (Gold, Platinum, Diamond) and it will light the captive ball for an increase to Bonus X (Max: 5X)
All switch hits build the BON JOVI letters in the upper left of the playfield and each letter adds to bonus and a completion earns additional bonus
Collecting and completing LOVE lanes adds to bonus
Playing mini-mode features also add to bonus
